Many of you already know that iCONN (the Connecticut Digital Library) is important to our campus community as well as the larger state-wide community!
This could be you!
On our campus, iCONN’s academic and full-text databases have greatly increased and improved our online support of our full curriculum. It provides significant access to quality databases and has been of solid support for our general-personal & course related (studio & academic alike) research needs. Are you familiar with how it serves your local communities too?
As the campus librarian, I feel compelled to encourage you to consider serving on this board. The iCONN board advises on the electronic databases that we can access via this state funded network.
Application forms and details of specific requirements are available online at: http://www.iconn.org/DigitalLibraryAdvisoryBoard.aspx.
If you or someone you know may be interested in serving on the iCONN Digital Library Advisor Board, please consider applying ASAP. The applications will be reviewed and membership selected during December. If you have questions about the Connecticut Digital Library Advisory Board please contact Jonas Zdanys (Department of Higher Education) at 860/947-1822 or Sharon Brettschneider (Connecticut State Library) at 860/757-6665.
This is a wonderful opportunity to serve in support of our state-wide library resources! On this board you will be in a position to strongly support your public libraries, local school systems and our state academic institutions!
Best regards,
Loree Bourgoin,
Librarian and Director of Krieble Library
College
